Really excited to see how the community is responding to the opening of the studio. Many have already started taking classes. Right now I have a class that starts this Wednesday, May 30th from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM. I still have a spot available, so if you are interested in filling that spot, you need to contact me at 832-571-7722. It's an eight week class.
I know that Summer is almost here and some of us have trips planned out and "what nots"..... but..... we are flexible when it comes to things like that. If by any chance you need to make up a class, it's no problem.... as long as it is done within your 8 week session. We will work with you on rescheduling. That way you can keep up with the rest of the class and not fall behind.

LOOK FOR THE SIGN
Yayyyyyyy!!!!!!!
We are now up on the board..... the LED board, that is.
Now, if you are coming our way, all you have to do is look for this LED sign. You can't miss it. The sign is located right in front of the storage facility and right after the entrance, if you are driving down FM 1960 from Hwy 59... it will be on your left.
This picture is not that great, I took it with my cell phone. It actually looks a lot better in person... from the road.
Thank you STOR-A-WAY, for putting us up on the board!

What a beautiful and exciting day, yesterday at the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce! We had a beautiful crowd show up and we had delicious cake made by Tammy Schmidt, the owner of Cake Created.
Tammy is also a potter and my lab assistant. I had asked her, at the last minute, to make just a cake for the reception. She was going to make a red velvet cake, which I have tried .... the best! But I didn't want her to work too hard and have to be up 'til late.... being that she was already having to work hard with me in preparation for the ceremony. So, I asked her to just make a simple cake. Knowing Tammy's baking abilities... a simple cake was going to be a delicious cake, anyway. I was right... it was the best! Here is a pic...
At 2PM we started the ceremony by having a grand tour of the studio. We had a nice crowd. We had a little presentation about the business, by your truly. Then we had the ribbon cutting. How exciting! I was really surprised when they presented me with a banner.
Then we all mingled around and had some cake. At the end of the day we had the drawing for the Grand Prize winner. Brandon, one of our members, who rents studio space and who was in the back throwing on the wheel, pulled the winner's name out of the pot... while one of our clients took the picture. Here are some pics for you to see. If you didn't make it.... we sure missed you!
What an awesome day!!! Thank you, Jesus!!!!!! and thanks everyone, who made this day a success!

ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR NEWS UPDATE!!!
The Arts and Crafts Fair that we are having as a grand finale to our Grand Opening is this Coming Saturday, May 12th. It will run from 9 AM to 4 PM. We are looking for your support, so come on out and see what the local artists have been up to lately. We are gonna have some pottery demonstrations throughout the day and you will also have a chance to try your hands at the wheel.
I am so excited about this. I'm hoping this will be the jump-start to an idea that has been brewing in the back of my mind for quite some time. What am I talking about? Well.... all I can say for now is that I have been making plans for it.... but it is so huge that I can't just make it happen. I really hope this event will be the first step to a dream come true. It is a dream that will benefit the whole entire community of Humble and surrounding neighborhoods. That is why I'm so excited!
We still got some room for more vendors, so if you would like to participate let us know. Send me your email address on the comment form.... will be kept private, and I'll send you the registration form.
Originally, we had decided that after May 5th, the booth fee would be $65 instead of $55. But... since we have had a few folks asking for an extension until next week, we have decided to get rid of the late fee and just keep it at $55. We want to be as fair as possible to everyone.
Hope to see you there! If you haven't gotten your Mother's Day gift, yet.... this will be a perfect opportunity to get her something really special and that is handmade.
