GRAND OPENING!

We now have a date set up for our Grand Opening week. We will start with the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce coming out to do the "Ribbon Cutting Ceremony" on Monday, May 7th at 2pm and we will end the week with an Arts and Crafts Fair on Saturday, May 12th.

You, your families, and friends are all invited to come out and be a part of the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony! We will have plenty of snacks and drinks for you. You will get a chance to tour the studio and see what all we are doing in there and all the plans we have for the future.

As a token of appreciation for your support, we have decided to do something special. All pottery throughout the week will have a 15% discount. BUT, if you come out on Monday, for the ceremony, you will receive a 20% discount on anything, be it pottery or classes.

On Saturday, from 9am - 4pm, we will have an Arts and Crafts Fair. We will have vendors selling all kinds of beautiful handmade items.... perfect timing for Mother's Day, which is the next day. There will be door prizes throughout the day. We will be offering pottery demonstrations on the wheel and give you a chance to try your hand at making something out of clay. Come out and bring the family with you and your friends and spend the day with us.

The Arts and Crafts Fair is being hosted by Lambda Pottery and the Stor-A-Way Self Storage facility. A part of the proceeds from the rental of booths is going to benefit the local VFW Post 12024 and the Ladies' Auxiliary.

This is a very exciting time and would love to share it with you... so come on out and let us meet you. I am so excited!!!

We are now proud members of the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce. We are also in the process of setting up a date for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.  STUDIO SCHEDULE:

Our studio schedule to the public will temporarily be by appointment. I still have some things I am trying to finalize, so I may be out of the studio when you come. To facilitate things and not have you make a trip in vain, I decided to have a "BY APPOINTMENT ONLY" for now, until things settle down. This way, all you have to do is call me on my cell at 832-659-6912, if I am at the studio.... I'll know you are coming. If I am not at the studio, but most likely in the area.... we can discuss what time you want to come by and I will make sure I am there for you.

Eventually, we will have a full schedule available and you will be able to just walk in and take a one time class, paint a piece, drop your own work for firing, or by one of my pieces.

POTTERY LESSONS:

I am currently working on class schedules for both children and adults in both the wheel and hand building techniques. But if you want to go ahead and get started now, there's no problem. Check out the tab above for pottery lessons and then call me to set up a time and day that is more convenient for you and me.

We now have available 6 week classes as well as 8 week classes, that include studio time.

STUDIO SPACE BY THE MONTH:

I have been waiting for this day for a very long time. The day has come!!!!

If you are already knowledgeable in clay and simply need a place to work, this is for you. For a small fee of $45.00 a month you will have a place to come and work on your own. Firings are not included in the price, but you will get an amazing discount on the cost of firing.... $0.01 per cubic inch for either bisque firing or glaze firing. If you want to use our studio glazes, then the cost of glaze firing will be $.03.

In other words... if you have a box you need fired and the box measures 4" H x 4" L x 4" W, you multiply that by $0.01 for the bisque and then multiply it again by the glaze firing cost to include studio glazes by $.03. You add the two amounts and that is what the cost will be for that piece to be completely fired. Of course, if you have your own glazes, then you would multiply the glaze firing by $0.01.

Here is a cost example using the studio glazes:

4"x4"x4" = 64 cu. in. x $0.01 = $0.64 for bisque firing
4"x4"x4" = 64 cu. in. x $0.03 = $1.92 for our glazes and glaze firing

Total cost of firing             = $2.56 (plus sales tax, unless you have a sales tax number on file)

So let's say you made a box with those dimensions and you want to be able to sell it... the cost of firing the box will give you a chance to set a sale price and make a profit, with no problems.

PARTIES AND PRIVATE EVENTS: 

THIS IS GREAT!!!!!! We now have space to do parties and private events for both children and adults. 

Birthday Parties, Baby or Bridal Showers, Girls' Night Out, Boy's Night Out, Double Dates, Church Groups... got any other ideas???? Let me hear about them.
